BSARST 002 : DAY TRIP MANTANANI ISLAND

One of the main reasons that Mantanani Islands is popular for local and tourists alike is because of its picturesque scenery, cool breezes and serene environment.

ITINERARY

0715 HRS - 0730 am : Meet at Wisma Sabah, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen, Kota Kinabalu (please refer to attached location map) and transfer by coach or van to Kuala Abai Jetty, Kota Belud.
Estimated travel time will be 1 hour & 45 minutes.

0930 am : Arrival at Jetty and depart to Mari Mari Dive Lodge at Pulau Mantanani Kecil. We travel 1 hour going to the small (kecil) island. Mantanani Island group consists of 3 islands namely Pulau Mantanani Besar (Big Mantanani Island), Pulau Mantanani Kecil (Small Mantanani Island) and Pulau Lungisan.

NOTE : For safety reasons, we may cancel / turn back halfway if the weather or sea condition is deemed unsafe for the journey to proceed.

1030 HRS - 1100 am : Upon reaching Mari Mari Dive Lodge, freshen up and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before gearing up for 1st snorkeling session. Mask and fins will be issued by our crew Get on the boat and proceed to the 1st snorkel site.

1200 pm : Back to the Dive Lodge for a sumptuous lunch

1330 pm : Continue to the 2nd snorkeling site. Note: If you do not wish to continue with the 2nd snorkeling session, you may like to be transferred to the beach on Pulau Mantanani Besar by boat (at no additional charge). The Mari Mari Backpackers Lodge is located here and you may continue to do other island activities.

1500 pm : Depart back to Kuala Abai Jetty. Upon arrival, board coach/van and proceed back to Kota Kinabalu.

NOTE : We may depart earlier from the island if the we foresee that the sea or weather is going to be rough due to the change of weather condition.

1830 pm : Arrive at Kota Kinabalu & drop off at hotel

TOUR INFORMATION

REMARKS:
1. Participant must be physically fit as this tour is for this is an adventure tour.

2. For safety reasons, tour and activities are dependent on SEA & WEATHER CONDITIONS. We reserve the rights to CANCEL or POSTPONE the tour or any activities if we deem there is an absence of a safe operating environment. We monitor closely weather changes through the relevant sources.

3. Liability Release Form MUST be understood and signed by the participant before the tour commences.

4. You might get WET during the boat journey, so please be sure to pack and stow your belongings properly during the journey. Dry bags or plastic bags for waterproofing are recommended.

5. Kindly note that you are responsible for the safe keeping of your belongings at all time. We do not encourage guests bringing along electronic devices, valuables and important documents.

6. Age limit for diving with compressed air is 12 years old and above.

7. Please check with us if you have any special dietary request, e.g. vegetarian. We however do not guarantee that we will be able to meet all requests.

8. Please provide passport number and full name for security reasons.

THINGS TO BRING:

Payment / Service Voucher, Extra pocket money, Insect repellent, Sun-block lotion, Change of clothes, Towel, Cap / Hat, Plastic bag to protect your electronic, devices or important documents from getting WET.

FOR DIVERS:

Please bring along your logbook and diver certification card.
